Try a different ftp client because I dont see any reason why bsnl would restrict ftp access.

I use filezilla and it works fine on a tata indicom, reliance and mtnl connection .... mtnl and bsnl's policies are more or less similar so yours should work as well.

I tried by using WebFTP, Filezilla, total commander as well, and also trying to connect US server, Aus Server and Spain's server, no where success so i asked to concern dept, but i got answer that they are mailing issue to bangalore technical dept, and its 2nd saturday today so its off, tomorrow also holiday, so now there is question mark on Customer Care and Technical Dept people availablity and problem solving also of BSNL..

I am a webmaster so i know what i m doing, I only post issues when i have tested at all the ways which i can from my end and i am sure that problem is in server or plan only.

but anyways, thanks for the replies of all..

    Modem make is Sterlite/MT882
