Thread: How to configure Ultrastarcom WA3002-G1 modem

Hi Friends I am new to this forum and also new to BSNL BB. Recently I got my connectionion after waiting for nearly 1 and a half yrs. I have Home UL750 plan.
I dont know much abt broadband coz this is the first time I am using it. The technician who camed frm BSNL to setup the modem made a dailup connection on PC. But the problem I am facing is that the dialup connection get discconected frequenly.
Yesterday I went through this site and found that I can make my modem dial automatically, thats actually PPPoE settings. Everything was fine, I was connected directly when I restarted the PC,the connection never disconnected I was getting better speed but the problem with PPPoE connection is that I am unable to visit some site,let me tell u that with PPPoE setting I was able to visit this site but was unable to post a thread or just comment or in other words I was unable to use forum sites. Also I was unable to connect to some website like yahoo.com, thepiratebay.org and etc.
Right now I am having the dialup settings hence I m able to post a thread and also able to visit sites.
I am having Ultrastarcom WA3002-G1 modem I dont know which type is it.
Pls help me set this modem in PPPoE mode and also that I can visit and use all sites.

sorry but i cant help in your case..there are some buddies out here, like prouswer, talktoanil, evander leopold, dhaneshv, fix. preeti , aashaka etc etc who know much about many things..

by the way i will let to tell you to check here for more...

I had already checked alot here, have found many thing interesting but not much abt my modem type.

you may use opendns (dynamic ip)
and reboot your modem and also empty the cache of IE.

1...Open the modem/routers settings page.
.....In WAN page deselect "bridged"
......select PPPoE
....... enter your user id without @ bsnl.in and password.
..........Apply save . wait for two minutes.

I went through ur procedure but in vain I was unable to visit thepiratebay website, this is the only problem which I m facing. Unable to use site and also visit some sites. Pls help!!!!!!
