BSNL should implement a credit limit for connection say 2500 max if somebody reaches that limit then connection will halt, but no they will don't do it because they want victims of over usage.

If I deleted the post, the user will not know what he did wrong - or even worse - may never notice that the post was deleted.

    Absolutely correct.

    - Airtel stopped the plan for new users long ago.
    - Reliance charges Rs. 699/- per month but they give 10 PM to 8 AM but only at 300 kbps
    - Tata Indicom charges Rs. 199/- pm for 8 PM to 8 AM but allows only 100 MB.
    - BSNL charges nothing for 2 AM to 8 AM and gives 2 mbps (1.8 mbps easily)

    Absolutely biased statement.

Tell me one ISP that has a credit limit policy! No one has. This kind of tariff is available with pre-paid plans only.

i dont know about private players bb but for rel and tata dialup i know that they have credit limit.
but bsnl is not a private player so there must be credit limit in limited bb plans as bsnl also providing rural bb connections. so when u r providing bb connections to rural guys what would u expect that there r com rng and techies living in rural india who can track with there data usage very easily.
and it is not 100% that bsnl dsnot provide credit limit there r credit limit in bsnl roaming plan bsnl mobile plane bcoz bsnl know that there is risk for bsnl in these plans.and on the other hand there is no risk for bsnl in land line bb connection as if huge bill ac curd bsnl have power of getting recovering order by court bsnl is not that much stupid that he dont know that there are so many possibility s of over billing ie virus in system etc. but bsnl is behaving like an idiot intentionally as he want victims and litigations.

I've heard that BSNL has also started hiring recovery agents.

That's the way things work in BSNL.

ok i have also same problem but sorted out about 95% to my level itself i got 85000 rs broadband billing as they charge for 15 days free unlimited download but after many applications and official formalities bsnl gave me mail to deposit 5800 as consolidated bill amount but on many call no one gave me consolidated bill detail as per agm (grievances) i deposit this amount as he said as per my calculation this bill have 1400rs more than original bill as per calculation and that 1400 will be credit to my account after official inquiry on consolidated amount bill and they restart my connection on 16 july with 750 plus 512 kbps plan .
now till oct2011 bill july, aug, sept bill comes and i didnt make any payment and still all broadband and landline is working the two and half month bill payment will be apx 1700
as i already given application for this 1400 rs amount as i said but after 5800 payment i didnt hear anything action about my 1400rs complaint .
so what u suggest as i didnt get consolidated detail bill even after application and on that basis as per my calculation i write for 1400 rs refund but still nothing happened
    .could do nothing
    or
again inquire to bsnl about 1400 rs complaint .
    what action bsnl now do
as per my calculation this 1400 rs differ may be come due to addition of bill of two months during which bsnl already disconnected the all services broadband and landline .
what will u suggest me . as i think i have no fault as i have right to get bill detail that i paid
