Rep Power: 1 | hello! Im a new user of bsnl broadband, from kolkata.I first had home 500C plan and because of soaring bills, had to change to 750ul+. Now,my torrent speed was varying from 50 to 200 kbps for the first few days since i switched to 750ul, but of late,it has never crossed 30kbps. Im frustrated looking at the utorrent client page and sensing evry heart beat when the speed starts to grow from 5 to max 27-28 kbps. I read posts about port forwarding, but could not do it cz i have no knowledge at all about this thing,Im a complete novice here. Could someone please help me out.Please. ![]() ![]() ![]() my modem is siemens c2110. plese help |

Rep Power: 5 | Now in plan 750UL bandwidth is around 256kbps and 30-35kbps is the normal speed if you get better than this then you are extremely lucky . Now you told that at first few days you get 50-200KBps download speed because that period BSNL did not change your plan speed now the change your plan speed to normal 750 UL speed (256 kbps)so you are getting low speed

Rep Power: 1 | hello! Actually before starting my downloads,I called up the bsnl customer care to verify my plan name, and they said it was 750 ul and then I checked at the portal site under "my orders" ,it also reflected that plan is 750 ul and still i was getting 150kbps. So could you now help me out in light of the above mentioned facts. |

Rep Power: 1 | Yes,I did check the order status,it is saying "provisioned" and before downloading, rather even start extensive surfing,I had called up at the number : 1800-424-1600,and asked for my current plan and they said it was 750 ul+, the only thing I am afraid of,is that BSNL has crappy customer care executives, all seem to be some sort of technically unsound women, and they have never been able to help me out satisfactorily, though I have to hold the line for long and then try again and again to get in touch with them. I want to know if with my current plan (750 ul+) the hishest speed I can get with torrent download is 30kbps, or is there some need for some tweaks in the settings so that I can get better bandwidth? Rep Power: 1 | Oh! after reading your post,I decided to check my usage details at bbservice.bsnl.in BSNL - Broadband Account Management[/url] I was simply astonished to see the details.I had applied for plan change in december end and it was told that it will be in effect from start jan. On 4th jan i saw my speed had gone down,so i checked the portal and it showed that i was currently in 750UL+ , then I called the bbservice helpline at 18004241600 and asked the customer care executive and she said that the plan has been changed to 750UL+. Only then did I begin downloading, and now the portal shows that my downloads are not chargeable only after 10th Jan. Now,from 4th to 10th,I downloaded about 13GB. I need help as in what should I do to avoid the mammoth bill that is expected,as i had confirmed the plan change before starting any download? could any1 please help! its to all you bronze and platinum members, with experience to bail us out of this situation Last edited by hussain2232; 01-12-09 at 08:57 PM.
