hi i have updatedsoftware image of ut300r2u modem and my wifi modem wa3002g4 has entirely converted to that modem and i cannot use wireless option plzzzzz help!!!!!!!!!

the FW available for Beetel 450BX. for wireless facility.
For WA3002-g4 should be suitable.

Probably you might have used a Beetel 220BX Firmware version.

You are better advised to contact BSNL for all hardware support. I will strongly recommend against firmware updates done by yourself.

Has anybody has experience updating the firmware of WA3002-G4 ADSL Modem?

Essebe: Your quoted Firmwares page (AirTels's) does not have a Beetel440BX item. This page shows another WiFi model "Beetel Wifi(4 Port)-New Firmware.zip".
Is this one you are recommending.

For Airtel Beetel modems , any problem, CC
replaces the modem! Easy method out.Saves them also
service engineer visits often to customers location.

The engineer requests me not to contact cc again and gives his cell number. Because too many visits for service to
same user affects his professional rating !

Luckily I had made only two or three or very few complaints during last two years and my modem is invariably updated !

Para two : Modifying the FW you loose some options and get new options.There was a difficulty in identifying which
FW version results in which software version for a long time.
In another forum I got this information, recently which I repeat here.
Specially for Beetel modems after logging in
type 192.168.1.1/look.html
This will give you the FW img version and SW version.

Para three :

I DON'T REMEMBER advising you to do it.
The reverse would not have affected!
meaning FW of Wa3002_g4 to Ut300r2u.
Of course you wont get Wireless working in Utstar as
the suffix W is missing from the Board ID and there is no Antenna ( wireless cccts inside additional )
You can try as usual at your AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Why some one wants to Update the FW.?
BSNL usually removes some menu options, specially Virtual server etc. By Studying the data for past one year, , i felt, that FW can be replaced for different models of modems having the same BOARD ID.

This is done routinely for linksys etc by WRT tomato/etc. by experts.

Now try the look.html option and decide yourself.
EULA applies to all posts here and in any forum !

Also the whole study started , when DDNS to
run a webserver was missing from one Beetel modem same version ........etc.

Para four:
I had even collected DEVICE status page for different modems and posted in forum for same
purpose , may be a year back.
one set:
UTstar300r2U(new) beetel 110bx1. beetel 220bx bx1
DNA A211/iball baton etc telenet tndsl2120 etc
wireless:
wa 3002-g4/beetel 450BX/siemens sl2_141 etc

Para five:
Updating FW is routinely done for Netgear/Linksys/etc
without any problem.

I don't understand why u r trying to update the FM with a different make but u may try essbebe solution

If you have WA3002-g4 please open
and then type 192.168.1.1/look.html
Post the details.
This will help, to advise @pearlpet restoration
of original version in his router.
