    Default BSNL wifi router

    Hi,

my system is setup with BSNL wifi router and OS as Vista. Right now, i'm not able to connect to the internet. I could connect to the modem (utstarcom) which is provided by BSNL but not to the internet. Can someone suggest what configuration need to be done in order to function properly.

    Thanks in advance.

please dont change any proxies for now..

if you got the defaults, switch to them now,, my friend got disconnected just because he was too quicky to do changes to his ip...

this is a local-internet connection problem, and this maybe due to the fact, they have issued you the connection but still not allocated with the ports..

better remain for some while..please go through changes made in your portal ac..

i hope you some more people will help you in this issue...
better wait is my last answer..

try to make the connection bridge between the modem and internt...
go into routers setting in the network manager of your pc..

if you got the modem then please config it with the username/ password and settings provided by your ISP.

and please check Broadband How to Section, if you still face any problem then please update here with Link/ADSL/DSL light status

I am assuming that your modem is correctly configured. If not, please visit the Broadband How to section for a few guides on modem configuration. Also do a forum search here.

    One of the many solutions:
It could be related to IPv4 vs. IPv6. Vista is enabled for IPv6 by default whereas all older OS support IPv4 only.

New modems with new firmware have IPv6 support. So you have two options:

    a) Turn off IPv6 in Vista. It will then switch to IPv4.
    b) Enable IPv6 in modem.

Additional Reference : with screen shots for settings.

Hope, this is the modem/Wireless router given to you.

If you click on the User CP link, you can load your own picture, avatar, etc. Avatar must be 100x100 in size.
