    Default BSNL strikes again!!!

    Hello!
    3 months ive been with a BSNL connection and not a week has passed without troubles. New one: BSNL generated a billfor december,where I was in home 500C plan, errors in the bill:

    Rental 180 charges which should not be there.
    Free calls should be 175,showing only 50,hence extra money charged for the 114 calls.
    Since there are the above two mistakes,service tax has been calculated wrongly.

    Such a thing happened to me too. I noticed that u r from kolkata. I myself went to the ballygunge office of BSNL and got that bill corrected.

    Does your portal reflect the correct plan, i.e., Home 500 C? Please submit a complaint letter (in duplicate).

    In my case, I had faced some other issue. In spite of buying the modem outright, I was being charged modem rental. This charge (including service tax) was reversed but the mistake repeated for 3 months (each time I had to get a refund) before it was corrected in the system.

    thats because they didnt update ur scheme page in their software. They dont like to work much. I went there and made that guy update every single detail about my scheme in their software interface. I found that previously they had left all the fields like FREE CALLS (should be 175), MODEM RENTAL (should be empty ) blank. thats y the software calculated a wrong bill and they even sent it before verifying.

    yeah, bsnl guys are like that..........
    but there are several gr8 guys there too, u will find them working all the time, i have met some of them when i go to the office every month to get my bill corrected.

    But this apathy to ones job is not an uncommon thing in the world, what amazes u the most is the fact that they are not sure about the schemes they offer. u make a few questions about their schemes and offers and they direct u to the officer ranked above him.

    Last time at "Ballygunge exchange, kolkata" I got 6 different answers from 6 different guys to a simple question I had. The last guy I saw was probably the highest ranking officer there and was the biggest a*****e

    True coz , as with any other government agency there's no proper co-ordination between the departments as well as between the technical and non-technical guys

    Despite everything, I thank BSNL for letting us have broadband. Out here in the North East, BSNL is the sole ISP in most areas. At least they don't calculate profits and losses like the MNCs do before introducing a service in some backwater town. We don't take our broadband connections for granted and therefore have learnt to live with BSNL and its follies.

    P.S. Also it would be unfair if I don't mention that these BSNL people are actually getting better with every passing day albeit slowly.

    thats quite true.

    actually i m also waiting to grow 90 years old so that by then i can enjoy a real fine broadband connection at a reasonable price.
