Thread: Anybody in North Kolkata ( Lake Town ,Dumdum , Salt lake) having Problems

Anybody living in North Kolkata having any problems today ( 15th Jan 09)
My modem is showing all the right signals ,
Steady Links lights and all but still error 678 coming ,
Connecting through Wan miniport (pppoe) .............
and never able to connect

Do you contact with the local exchange ? I think they can give proper answer another think did you check from your side ?(for modem is properly connected with pc or anything else)

@simi_2008 HIII Me leaving in SaltLake, I dont face this problem today. But some times this problem from the Local Exchange.

yep, if all the modem lights are ok but still u r getting this problem, then it is happening from the server side all right. There are two situations. One, when the problem gets repaired itself very soon. Two, ur port at server side has gone kaput and u need to contact the local head office and get the matter sorted out.
