If you are living in Hyderabad then there is a Good news for you, the News is that now you can make STD/ISD calls almost free, Yes... if someone is allowing you to make STD/ISD calls @local calls then it could be considered as free - Am i right?

So the qusetion is "How can a Hyderabadi person can make STD/ISD calls @local rates?"
The Answer is JAXTR.

Now the question is "How?"
The Answer is :-
If you (Mr X) have an account on JAXTR and your Relative (Mr Y) is also having an Account on JAXTR, and also suppose Mr Y is living in some other Country, then you can ask Jaxtr to give you a Number (NO Z) which will be Local to you (STD code 040).. and if you call on this NO Z Number, Jaxtr will forward your call to Mr Y's Number.
Moreover.. once you got this NO Z for your Relative Mr Y you dont need any internet connection.

Have you use it? and the number the provide is it land line or mobile? and if mobile which network?

Does the second party always need to have a jaxter account? cant you make calls to those who dont have a jaxter account?

I am not living in Hyderabad, at this time i am in Chennai.

No I am not using it as i dont have any relative in "Other Country", they do give a "InBetween" 040-6XXXXXX No for any Number (ISD/STD/LOCAL) but it will cost the same for me either i dial their Number or my relatives STD NO (thats why i said it is for our Hyderabadi friends).

Yes for having a Really free call the second party need to be a member of Jaxtr, you can make calls to others who dont have jaxtr account but then you need to have some balance in your account.

One more thing their call rates for Inda is just Rs 1.02 per min + Rs 0.7 per call setup. (so actually they are cheaper than our service providers)

I dont know how long they can run this free service.. but at present they are offering.
