    Default Equipments For Connection

    i finally got a call from the bsnl guys yesterday ...after 9 months in waiting .
    they told be ready with all equipments and we will come in 7 days.
    so can nyone tell me wat all equipmesnts are required?

    5) Driver CD

    6) MOST IMPORTANT
    A letter from bsnl giving you the username and password and PORTAL ID.
    You Must change password as soon as you get it.

    I think u may have opted for ur own modem. Then @thats_me has given the requirements. I got my BB in Dec 08 though applied in Feb 08 (after 11 months).

    I never bribed them money. When they came to my house, gave them some sweets and samosas. lol

    BSNL is usually in most cases ready to give you a connection instantly.. the usual reason for the delay is due to shortage of modems..

    Very true. But its opposite in this case may be due to shortage of ports.

    thanks all u guyzz...
    yes i had lost my pateince and was abt to quit in jan end...

    so the bsnl guyz will just hand out the letter ? wont they bring ny wires or cables themselves?

    and which modem is the best?

    You should receive the letter from P.O. just like your bsnl bill. All other equipments should be brought by them during modem installation.

    P.S. : My friend received username & password etc through SMS, as he gave his mob no on the form of bsnl dataone connection and then he got the letter after few days.

    Wow Things have changed.. The BSNL now giving letters containing username password and portal id!!
    When i had booked BSNL broadband in 2006 I got connection in 3 days and username and password was given via phone

    I too got my username etc through phone. Then received the letter after ... 2 or 3 months. But that against your privacy rules... well atleast I felt so.
