    Problem Webserver/sites hosted. Port 113 needed.
    I have a server for my sites
    Mention make/model of your ADSL modem.
    Or
    Check at this web site for settings.
    BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

    Your set up: confirm
    Phone line==modem ??==linksysWRH54G == computers ( how many?)
    Master computer hosting web sites..
    Airtel GPRS ( give details)

    Cool

    hello bsnl modem is UTstar 300R2U

    modem is connected to wireless router then router is connected to only one pc

    i can browse sites from web browser no problem, issue is lying with flashfxp (ftp client ) ident is requested by server on port 113 which is blocked while i connect via wireless router, direct connection with bsnl adsl modem doesn't block port and i can connect ftp server

    Configure UT300R2U in PPPoE mode. Configure WRH54G in Automatic DHCP (aka bridge) mode.

    Refer this thread for configuration: Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection

    If your UT300R2U has a different interface, use this thread (for UT330R2U only): UT300-R2U Ver 2.2 - Guide for setting up

    Your WRH54G will most likely get an IP address 192.168.1.2. This is assigned by the DHCP server from UT300R2U.

    Using the NAT/DMZ option in UT300R2U, enter this IP address in the screen. Click on 'Save' and reboot the UT300R2U.

    For all your queries, please read the many guides posted in the Broadband How to section.

    I think that UT300R2U and WRH54G are connected to each other. After step 2, do this:

    - Disconnect connection betwen UT-300R2U and Linksys WRH54G
    - Reset WRH54G to actory settings also
    - Clear browser cache.

    Please clarify one thing:

    [A] Are you trying to connect to secure FTP sites on other websites/computers?

    OR

    [B] Are you trying to enable FTP on your computer from external network?

    For problem [A], the other (external) website/computer needs to open port. For problem [B], your port needs to be open. I am now re-reading the thread. It seems that your problem is [A]. Hence, please confirm.

    @just4kix
    1.Virtual servers option Not available in new UT300R2U.
    He can use DMZ zone only.
    ( already confirmed in Broadband How to threads)

    @bhanuprasad1981.

    2.
    3. removed RJ45 plug from adsl and plugged in to wireless router port no.1 of 4
    These are LAN1 LAN2 LAN3 LAN4.
    I think, this should go to Internet/WAN port.

    3. Presume you are using Dialer Mode .
    What is the message popping up in Firefox ?

    4. check with this tool
    http://www.canyouseeme.org/

    5. You are having a web site and posting it from your computer?
    software you use : Flashfxp.

    6.Are you willing to change the FW of this modem ?
    post the present BoardID and cfe loader &. soft ware
    confirm.

    as just4kix said , i dont think you need to open any port as you are connecting to a remote ftp server .. you only need to open if you are hosting an ftp server.. it could be that your firewall is blocking that application or port.. try disabling firewall temporarily to test.. so you know where the problem lies..

    @essbebe, Virtual Server option was available in previous firmware versions of UT-300R2U. I myself had it. When I had to exchange my modem, they gave me a new UT-300R2U with the latest firmware. BSNL has disabled this option (Virtual server) in the new firmware. So in one way, you are correct also.

    @bhanuprasad
    you should be more specific.
    There is no option to give the range in the modem
    ( except DMZ) . or in the WIFI router ? in PPPoE mode .
    Post screen shot of that entries.
    Or did you enter it in Windows firewall ?

    @http://www.indiabroadband.net/members/bhanuprasad1981.html I wouldnt suggest opening up so much of the ports as u are literally inviting spyware/worms/trojans to the pc. Ensure that u use something like KIS/KAV to be protected at all times.
