Default WAN Miniport displayed too long

hi friends, I am facing a big problem in connecting to my bsnl broadband. Many times, when i try to connect to bsnl broadband, there is a message which displays for a very long time, sometimes over two to five minutes, and that message is.."connecting through WAN Miniport (PPPOE)". But sometimes i immediately connect to bsnl broadband. Everything is ok on part of my computer but i can't work out this problem. Please help......my broadband plan is Home 500 combo.

I think there's a conflict by seeing and analyzing your above post it seems to me that you have configured your modem to PPPoE mode and yet you created a dialer!! which should not be created as the modem dial from itself and you are connected to the net automatically as soon as your PC is booted up!

Also try assigning a static IP in your network configuration from control panel and see if it helps!

Always mention your modem model make.
    Go to Network/LAN
See whether you have created a dialer.

If you are interested in "Bridged" dialer mode,
Open modem page 192.168.1.1 admin admin or password
Go to WAn page . Uncheck PPP/PPPoE and select "bridged"
    Save and reboot.
Now you have to enter the ID and passwords in the dialer.
to connect. The message won't appear.

Also in IE internet options connections see
"never dial a connection is selected "
