Default Is the 500c plan a joke?

no doubt many of you would've already asked this but i really had to get some response, the unlimited 2-8am(which in itself is meagre) is the main reason why everyone teks it, so whats the point if you throttle the speeds during these hours?

there is no throttling pal, the speeds depend on the server load, there are members here who get above 200 Kb/sec in Nu time, and there are some who get around 100 - 150, all this depends on the area server load, thats all

Yea but if you cross the limits in day time that 500 could turn into a big amount

The speed usually and mostly depends how far you are living from your telephone exchange and what SNR ratio you are getting, the higher the ratio the better the speeds!

If you are ecperiencing low speeds then get your line checked!

May be few complaint is present few user not getting enough speed at night but still most of user are getting speed between 1-2 mbps during night also and also BSNL never promise to user for perfect 2 mbps speed so i think we have accept it.

I think H500 is more or less good and theres no throttling for sure, might be some other problems with local exchange.

I previously had the same plan but setting up the downloads from 2 - 8 was a big pain for me which resulted in me downloading more in day time and ended up paying more in the bill. I changed to 750 UL plan after that and i get a 30kb decent speed. Sure its low as hell compared to the 500c but i can keep it online however long i want and i can practically schedule download 24 hours a day since its unlimited.

For downloading H500 is the best plan. But UL750 offers tension free surfing anytime. I'm using H500 and scheduling download isnt too much of a headache.

H500 plans are for download buffs. But if u value browsing than downloading then UL plans will be need of the day.

2.5Gb is pretty much sufficient for normal web browsing. But if u into online video sharing sites like youtube then UL plan seems to be better option. Its not at tough u see, to schedule downloads at 2am. Any novice user can do it. BTW BSNL is fast implementing accurate measurement of overlapping usage between free time and chargeable time. This prevents billing errors.

I am fully into youtube, I catch all my TV programs in youtube and also maybe couple of game walkthroughs and game trailers. Scheduling ain't the tough job for me, its just being married and living in a joint family rarely get's me any time to take care of these stuff :38:

I started with UL 750 and then change my plan to 1350UL. At last I change my plan to 500C+. So from my experience I can say that choosing of plan is person dependent, perpuse dependent and then money dependent. SO for different people different plans are the best. I can suggest that choose a plan which fits you best.
