Default Error 691 frequent for Solapur BSNL can anybody help?

For last month or so at Solapur BSNL we are facing a frequent internet down and when tried to connect there comes an error 691. which is related to ID and password. I would like to know whether this will be a local level problem or is it related to main server?

    please help

As mentioned by India Broadband Forum - View Profile: Rameshjeee try deleting the existing connection and re-creating it. Else get in touch with exchange and ask them to reassign your port. Dont worry, they know the "port" details. Also try configuring the modem in pppoe mode and see whether a successful connection is established.

BSNL DSLAM's fault. Just be patient, it should "fix" itself automatically...

Error 691 basically comes up when your username or password is incorrect, first you can try the steps suggested by Rameshjee and if it is not helpful then please contact your ISP for line test and to confirm your username & password.

it can not get fixed automatically, the basic purpose of deleting and recreating connection is to put your username and password again on your system.

Even if your username & password is correct, the error happens sometimes. It is a server side error.Try again after some time & it should become normal.
I've had this issue wth reliance broadband too.

The error is mainly generated due to incorrect/speedy disconnection/reconnection. The DSLAM will take some time to accept incoming requests from the particular port and hence the error message.

Error 691 mainly comes up whenever the username or password is incorrect or don't match with the one which is updated on the server, as per best of my knowledge we can correct this problem by resetting password or by cheking if we are using the correct username/password or not. In some of the cases this error can come in picture if there is a problem with server like it can come in No Connection to RAS fauts and sometimes this happens when there is no communication with network element.
