H500C has a monthly data limit of 1.5GB and H500C+ has a monthly limit of 2.5GB.

Answering the second part of your query, how do u connect to internet? Do u dial? Or u just switch on the modem and start browsing?

In that case, u are on pppoe mode. If u are using just a PC to connect to the modem i would suggest that u change the connection to bridged mode. After switching to bridged mode, connection can be activated/deactivated using the RASDIAL commands and all of these can be made to work out with Windows scheduler.

Every thing is counted my friend in the usage. Let me give you a list, which is not exhaustive by the way:

    • Loading a web page
    • Reading mail
    • Downloading mail attachments
    • Sending mail
    • Uploading attachments to mail
    • Visiting websites that upload information, e.g., login screens, bank queries, etc.
    • Downloading files from websites
    • Watching online movies
    • Listening to internet radio or streaming music/media
    • Watching You-tube or streaming video
    • Torrents
    • Text chats
    • Voice calls from computer
    • Video calls from computer
    • etc.

Anything you do on the internet that exchanges bits and bytes from external network is counted in the usage limit which includes download + upload.

In fact, even when your connection is idle, the computer is exchanging raw bytes with the ISP server.

The only thing that is not counted is - if you have a LAN at home and you are exchanging files/data within the LAN (internal), this is not counted because it is not going to the internet.

Hope that this clears all doubts.

but still what will be the average bandwidth be used if the Router be on for like say 10 hrs or so... it will be just checking mails going on forums and loging into social websites and the downloading will be done at 2-8 am...

I cannot answer that question - it all depends on what you do. A typical web page (with graphics) is 20 KB. A forum page contains mostly text and should be 2-5K at most.

As superprash2003 said, it will not be enough. You are better off with UL plans. If you can afford it, go for UL1350+. If not, UL750+. But in UL750+, buffering will happen.

BSNL is misleading users by using word "free download".

Instead they should use word "bandwidth"
