^^ BSNL cables must be running through your place. Then u will surely get broadband. If they havent yet laid the cables (which is highly unlikely) u will have to wait. I guess u must be too far from the exchange, as hence they didnt approve of a connection at your residence. ADSL is largely dependent upon the distance between the house and the exchange.

if ur neighbour is having ll then u give aslo get bb by just applying in the exchange and hust take care that ur house is with in 5km from exchange
    because adsl2+ support 5km distance

^^ Neighbour might be having landline. But the poster needs broadband. For landlines distance from exchange is not a problem. But fro broadband like mentioned its not feasible. Besides BSNL is still in G.DMT. ADSL 2+ isnt being offered anywhere by BSNL.

for BB CONNECTION THEY WILL DEFINETELY DO something for feasiability problem they can make it easily feasible bacause ur neighbour is having ll so cable is up to ur home only they have to provide one pair to rectifying their cable problem

U mean to say all the feasibility problems with regards to the premise being far away from the exchange can be corrected using a pair of what ?

YOU KNOW CABLE AND SUBSCRIBER RATIO IS 3:10

10 PAIR CABLE AND ONLY THREE subscriber and they say that it is not possible to provide connection

bacuse their may be fault in cable and they have to rectify it they dont want to do their work and they said it is not feasible

in exchange cable capacity is 1.5 times more that exchange capacity suppose for 1000 subscriber they have 1500 pair cable

    kabutar (dove) may be.
But there are technical issues sometimes. My locality was a new one and for almost 3 yrs my backside neibour had a LL but I couldn't because there were no cables laid in my side.

When BSNL states broadband is not feasible, then either (a) BSNL has not laid the cables in the region (b) BSNL conducted field tests and assessed that the house is too far away from the exchange to give broadband provision.

U are sticking with landline all through the thread, while the poster wants broadband

Oh man. Cant u understand what we all are trying to convey? Since the poster's neighbor has a LL, then its confirmed that the area is already rich with BSNL cables. That brings us to the second part, the premise is at a distance greater than 7kms (or 5kms) away from the exchange. Hence they cannot provide broadband.

I repeat...the infeasibility is because of the large distance between house and exchange not due to the absence of cabling.

I better stop posting in this particular thread because i know the next reply of u also will be something with regards to improper cabling.

Most BSNL service is G.Dmt (ADSL 1) and not ADSL2+

and as cool_techie reghtly said, the issue is BROADBAND, simple laying of cables and provisioning of Landline has NOTHING to do with it. If it was only a question of Landline, BSNL also has the WLL-fixed option for such areas where laying of cables is not feasible. But that is not enough for BB.

sir i think you may need to read some documents once again and please make sure that you are talking about ADSL 2+
Line length more than 5kms from exchange comes under LLW (Long Line Warning) where ADSL 2+ is not supported.

Please read the complete thread before posting as i can not find any good reason to discuss this thing over here.
