    Default Errror 691

I get the user name password invalid on domain alsmost 99% times I try to connect.
Sometimes it just connects smoothly though.
I am clueless as to what can be the real problem.
Resetting the password hasnt helped either.
I took the modem to the exchange and they faced the same issue. Pune exchange is not willing to accept the problem inspite of complaning to all Sr Manager and toll free number
    Anyone having any solution ?

Try "AlwaysOn" PPP/PPPoE mode. instead of "bridged"
    in WAN settings.

    Post Modem model/make.
Seems you are using Dialer mode.

Check your set up as per diagram.

Ask the exchange people to rest your port. They will do the necessary. Usually this problem crops up when some sort of work is being carried out in the exchange DSLAM. If its persistent, ask them to reset the port.

Alternatively u can delete the existing connection and create a new connection in the network connections. I am speaking about the connection which on double-clicking dials and connects.

now i am totally lost and confused too :confused1:

DUN Error 691 basically comes up when you use incorrect username/password while connecting
otherwise when there is a problem with B-RAS

To resolve this issues please make sure that you are using the correct username and password (username and password are case sensitive so make sure you are using correct case)
make sure you are using the correct domain
you can try to reboot (restart) your computer once
if this is not helping then please contact your service provider for more details and line test.

    9) Possible solution / fix for error 691
Broadband error 691 - Access denied because username and/or
password is invalid on the domain
With all Windows versions - Error 691 can occur if you use a bad username or password; remember in most instances the
password is case-sensitive - you will not see the password, so if CAPS LOCK is not the way you expect it, you may have a
problem with upper/lower-case. It may also occur if there is a problem with your service provider's access equipment, or
on a 'bad' connection where the modem is retraining. Can also occur with incorrect Connectoid settings.
If you get error 691 with a new account - you may not be using the correct username and/or password. Verify with your
provider exactly what you need for your username and password.

    & also due to

some one else is using ur password because it is single user if anybody using it then ur unable to use it and get 691 error code
    & also due to
otherwise when there is a problem with B-RAS

    & also due to

some time problem at AAA server
