I thing problem is is router because in bridge mode PC directly goto DNS server for resolving Query. But in pppoe(always ON ) Router is placed between PC and DNS Server.

He guys there must be a solution for always on on this router to overcome this.

PLZ help --- is may ssumptions are right about abridge mode and
    pppoe.

plz give me a solution over it .

You can use open DNS for better performance. use 208.67.222.222 as primery DNS and 208.67.220.220 as seconadary DNS. in the Network connection properties.

U are mistaken. Router is not placed in between the DNS server and the PC. The DNS server is something which is placed far away from the CPE and your PC. And u have no control over it, as it is maintained either by BSNL or by other private service providers.

In bridged mode the OS authenticates your connection while in router mode the router authenticates the connection. Requests from your PC and carried through the modem to the DNS server and carried back to the PC through the modem. In your terminology, the router is placed in between the PC and the DNS server.

Yes your problem is related to pppoe so I am trying to solv your problem in pppoe mode. So I am requesting you change your DNS to BSNLs default DNS and that DNS is area specific. one of such DNS is provide by Indranil. you can check your default DNS in your rauter page. and if your problem is still not resolved then you have to try WIndows Liveone care soft ware. to remove any virus which may cause this.

    robert_0007 is right

I think you have some Firewall software install. Some times the Firewall may cause problem with the DNS resolving. First try to disable the firewall if you have install or it's better to uninstall it then reboot your computer and chek that is it working or not.

in bridge mode your router protection remain silent but in pppoe mode your rauter and firewall etc remain highly active. So you may experience such problem

When you log in from PPPOE Desktop then it's dose not need NAT
( Network Address Translation ) NAT resolving the Packet Public IP address to Private IP address.
PPPOE Desktop dosenot need this NAT because you have direct Public IP address. But when you log in from router then NAT should be needed.
Firewall sometimes doing this problem with resolving this address.

It's better to uninstall the firewall and cheak it, If you have instalation CD.
Because only uninstall can remove the registry entry.

Going through the posts i am confused. One member is saying to disable the firewll of the router. Another is saying to disable firewall of software (NIS 2008). Now which one should the original poster disable? Disabling the firewall of NIS 2008 makes no sense as the poster is able to connect and use without any problems in bridged mode. But since the problem occurs in pppoe mode, the router firewall needs to be disabled.

U can also try resetting the modem. It might help too.
