Default Appling for new connection Online

Is it better to apply online or should we give the form in person?

If online it asks to add phone account and unique id. After adding it it asks to call customer care at 1500 from the phone account. Whats that?

Also in BSNL we have a link to download the form and apply. This form doesnt have any unlimited plans. What should be done?

    Thanks

    ONline: APPLICATION WILL BE DELAYED.
    Phone 1500 customer care.

Better go to the nearest Exchange or BSNL
shoppe and fill up the application.
    Take one telephone bill.

Do not pay by cash to staff at BSNL Shoppe.
if you have a BSNL L/L already in use
you may not be asked to make any down payment.

Online application for broadband is useful when you already have a BSNL landline. IF you do not have a BSNL connection. Then its better you go to your nearest BSNL Customer Care or Telephone exchange. Get the form from them, fill it & give it.

Initially you would need to pay some money for the landline (I paid around Rs 2000). Then they would give you the receipt.

Normally it takes around a month to get a new connection. If you are lucky, you may get it soon.

All the modem, broadband chanrges would be charged in your 1st month bill.

    Thanks for the replies.

We have BSNL landline already. 1500 is customer care? It seems we should call from the same number for which we apply broadband.

I am not even getting the registration form . It just asks to call 1500 for adding my phone in portal. Will i get the application after that? Anyone has applied in Online?

Applying online may seem fanciful, but trust me nothing has ever worked for me by applying online with BSNL. Maybe Kerala circle is not as developed like the other circles. In here we need to manually apply for anything. Besides it is more foolproof i guess since we can get signed acknowledgments for the applications which can be used for future references.

Applying Online may or may not work. In my case, it did not work. BSNL does not have (enough) people for monitor online transactions. It is best to apply in writing using the prescribe application form. Like a typical govt. firm, BSNL too believes in actual paperwork.

I doubt whether calling 1500 will work. At most you will get thru to the CC and they will say that fill an application.

It is better to apply for BSNL landline or any service of BSNL from the exchange itself or by the franhisee. no doubt, you can apply for it by online also but it is not attendend by any staff and by chance any one have attended also he/she will call you to go to exchange for it.

By seeing the website form I had a doubt, if online application will work. Thats the reason I raised the question.

Thank you. Will go to exchange directly and apply .

    Absolutely.
When it comes to BSNL, only a physical visit to the Exchange world. As far as BSNL is concerned "virtual" does not exist. So applying online means u are applying to remain off-line.
