Default BSNL disconnect and port forward

I have a BSNL broadband unlimited 900 connection.

I got Nokia Siemens C2110 modem from BSNL. The internet connection goes off approx every 10-15 minutes.

Please find below the data of Modem:

    DSL Status true
    Last Failed 0x00000000
    Downstream Data Rate 8190500
    Upstream Data Rate 508900
    SNR (Downstream) 24.5 dB
    SNR (Upstream) 28.0 dB
    Line Attentuation(Downstream) 25.0 dB
    Line Attentuation(Upstream) 13.0 dB
    Connected Standard BisPlus

    =========================

    System Information
Model Number Vulcan BSP v0.01 / Vulcan CSP v0.01
    Firmware Version V55.1.04.01
    DSL Firmware Version E.37.9.32

Besides, there is no port forwarding. Is there any updated firmware which can correct these problems?

    Thanks.

First of all try changing the ADSL Modulation to G.DMT in the modem.

Please lookout for virtual server or DMZ option in the modem. U can do port forwarding using that option.

Please try to connect dial up (ppp mode) it will give you stable connection.

I am also using Nokia-Siemens c2110 in same firmwire i think all ports are open in this modem so i don't need to port forward( sometimes i am getting 180-200KBps for torrent). for detail check this thread

how to forward port for utorrent in nokia siemens c2100 modem

Since i do not own the modem, i cannot state the exact details. I would wait until other members may fill in. If G.DMT is not present u can select ADSL2 also (if present)

DSLAM authenticates the account in bridge or pppoe mode

The OS dials the connection in bridged mode while the router dials the connection in pppoe/router mode.

in PPPoe mode authentication starts from modem itself but in case of bridge mode it is different .(dont know so much details )

U check one thing that if u r using PPPoe mode some sites may not open in that mode but in bridge mode all sites open.

Authentication means verification. Verification in our context is verifying the username/password. The modem cannot verify the username/password. It just acts as a platform for forwarding the credentials to the DSLAM which verifies it. After verification the connection is established/disconnected. This is what happens in pppoe mode.

In bridged mode, the OS does the forwarding of credentials to DSLAM.

No problems for me in accessing websites whether i be in pppoe or bridged mode. Only filehippo is inaccessible, because of some unknown reason!!

you are right but i am unable to clarify PPPOe mode because PPOE(point to point protol over ehernet ) as its name point to point this means that at many points (i dont know what ????????

so i decide to know more if u want

    For NAT options etc.

For GDMT look in WAN page ( checking up)
    Try under 192.168.1.1/home.html
    dslhome menu option.

    I don't have this modem.

just use default setting of modem by ressing it becaue bsnl is getting things from vendor by keeping its subscriber inview.

U mean to state that the current generation of modems from BSNL are preconfigured to work with BSNL?

yes in our circle we have all switches mainly of zte and modem are also of zte

first in modem pppoe mode is default at vpi/vci=0/35 but now it is configured in bridge mode as my friend told me that bsnl told zte that they want theirmodem in bridge mode

usually (atleast here in bangalore) bsnl modems do come with your username and password stored in your modem ( ppoe mode) so its like plug and play..
