    Default BSNL MUST CERTIFY ITSELF AS THE WORLD'S WORST ISP ... BSNL down for 11 days now ....

    BSNL broadband is surely the worst ISP that could ever exist. BSNL is down for 11 days now in my city and they are still not sure when it would be up. I am getting really frustated and I am really getting hopeless of my internet speed returning back to normal. I am in the 512 kbps unlimited plan of BSNL and the internet speed I am receiving for the last 11 days is only 50 - 80 kbps ( I am saying kbps and not KB/S ) which is around one-tenth of the speed I am alloted. For the first two or three days I was receiving a speed of only 10 kbps. I have complained to every high official in BSNL in my city and they are saying there is problem with the lines, servers are down and loads of other bullshit. There is no sense of urgency in BSNL and they are extremely unprofessional. I advice everybody to keep away from BSNL for sure and not even look towards this ISP. It seems illiterate bunch of horrible employees and officers are there in BSNL who do not even know to troubleshoot the problems of the customers. The bloody bustards do not even know when and how they can mend the problems faced by the ISP. It is hell of a service for sure. They have a pathetic customer service to add to the agony. Thumbs down BSNL.

    I will update this thread and inform when my speed returns back to normal so that you all can know how much time sh*tty BSNL servers remain down.

    Odd. I'm not facing speed problems exactly but a different glitch.


    I cant open TPB. Always redirects to login page. Pages open using proxy though. HELP NEEDED. Cant make a search there cant see any page but log in page. Plus I cant even log in.

    I did not go to TBP even when my internet speed was normal as I have got premium account in all the top hosting services like rapidshare etc. .. I have got years left in my rapidshare account and so I download from rapidshare if I need as it gives better speed than torrents... I am not sure about it but I am really frustated with this pathetic service of BSNL and the worst part is that they are not saying when it might get corrected

    BSNL is good when line is fine but its horrible when the problem start.I don't know this is happening in which city (you did not mention also) but just try to contact regularly with exchange and check this is happening only your exchange or entire zone.I hope your problem will be solve soon.

    Which is your current DNS? Have u tried opening the site after switching to OpenDNS?

    Default Just Make CC of E-mails to TRAI

    I would suggest you to Cc your problems to following TRAI officials also, you might get immediate response from fools in BSNL:

    1. Shri S.K. Gupta, Advisor (CN), TRAI

    advcn@trai.gov.in
    cn@trai.gov.in

    2. TRAI Office

    ap@trai.gov.in


    And also Cc to following Directors in BSNL Head Office:

    1. Director (O), diro@bsnl.co.in

    Can somebody please confirm if these are actual complaint email addresses of BSNL officials at National Level. Whenever I try to dial the 1500 or other helpline number I reach the customer care in my city who start giving the bullsh*t about line problems, server down etc. and cannot even confirm when these would be resolved.

    I would like to contact BSNL officials at National levels. Are these the actual email addresses. I want to complain to highest possible authorities in BSNL. Hope they might be able to do something about it.

    Does anybody have any customer service number where I can contact the main BSNL officials (not my local ones)

    Buddy I am not sure of how good BSNL is even in normal circumstances. I have moved to Guwahati from New Delhi just a couple of months back. I have contacted almost every high official in Guwahati but I did not get satisfactory replies. They simply say they cannot help because the technical people are responsible for server and lines issues. But where on earth does any technical issue not even solve in 11 days. And what is the use of such illiterate technicians who cannot solve problems of the ISP for such long and cannot even commit when the ISP would be back to normal. BSNL has got a pathetic customer service and the other day I simply told them that I had never faced the problem for the last three years with other ISPs when I stayed in New Delhi. And they started blabbering that New Delhi is a good place and I should not compare BSNL with other ISP. And the BSNL customer service speaks as if they are not doing customer SERVICE but simply picking up the phone for the sake of picking it up. BSNL phone support people have a very rude and non-apologetic way of behaving with customers.

    BSNL is a really pathetic ISP and I would never advice anybody I know to take a BSNL broadband connection.


    Please provide me the BSNL phone no of any of the higher BSNL officials at the national level so that I can report to them. (I don't know if that would even work because BSNL itself seems to be extremely unprofessional and BSNL officials even do not know anything properly on most occasions)

    The email address listed are that of the main officials who run the scene. But i dont think it might be of help as i have emailed them seeking help due to some reasons and none of them replied back. Try posting your query to the nodal officer or the appellate authorities...

    Tried and it did not work. Please Help.

    it also happens in mi**no**.org

    Though I dont use this site too much but I do open it some times. I need TPB frequently though.

    Are u able to do a tracert to the above mentioned websites? Can u please post the results of such tracerts ?

    In all probability, they are aged civil servants who do not know the abc of internet/e-mail.

    BSNL officials don't check their mails regulary. Unless and untill someone from headoffice calls and says "Sir, we have mailed you!, please check"


    And they say "Kya Sir, you should haved faxed it instead"
    However, new recruits is tech friendly and checks mails daily.

    So, its useless to send them e-mails, better send complaint via fax or registered post.

    Thanks for informing buddy. I have also started feeling that BSNL officers are a bunch of lazy bones too. Believe me in this twelve days, they never even called me to inform that their servers or lines were bad. Only when I grilled their officers they called once in a few days and that too to ask if my phone line was good (I have never complained about the phone as it is working fine)
    I can say for sure the worst customer service I have received. When I was in New Delhi, even an ISP like Sify (which is regarded by many as very bad) used to send me SMS or call me up whenever there was any problem on their side.


    I again went to the head of BSNL in my city today and when I said that it has been 12 days now, he started saying that all the customers are facing the same problem. He said that their technicians are unable to solve the line and server problems (Are they hiring bribed illiterates as their technicians). He said that it might be resolved in maybe 4 days or so but he is also not sure if it would be resolved. The bloody bustards have an extremely unprofessional attitude and cannot say for sure what they are doing or when it would be resolved.

    Yaar koi contact number to do BSNL ke national heads ke liye. I am also not sure if those bloody bustards are even computer literates. Saalon ko to hum se kum pata hai about computers. Whenever I go to the BSNL officials they simply tell that they do not know about computers and so they cannot help. They only rely on their technicians and cannot help it.

    If you have got a complaint number with date, if for more than 3 days BB was not provided your BB rental has to be reduced.

    Also this website. primarily meant for Bangaluru, but hope they will pass it to their NIb center. ( add std code)

    First Complaint to DE(INT) and after 7 days FIle a complaint to Area Manager.

    thereafter, Approch General Manager.

    99.9% cases are solved at area manager level only

    simply contact to some media company they surely helps you becoz they need news... for against Big company.

    i have faced same problem about 2 years back becoz of whole bsnl exchanged got fired up in chandigarh and they recoverd really fast that time in just one week

    BSNL down for just 11 days....For me it was down for almost a month (April 2008)...I complained several times but no use. These BSNL guys took a month to do some cable repair...

    When it works, BSNL is the best...
    When it doesn't works,its the worst....

    Thanks everybody for the help. I have also lodged complaint in the BSNL complain link and public grievance link provided above. Thanks a ton. Let me see if it gets resolved soon. I had kept the option Ministry of Telecommunications in the pgcell. Is that the correct one?


    Just an idea about why I am pissed off with BSNL now. Check my speed in a 512 kbps unlimited connection for the last 13 days. I have just made a speedtest and that too at the official BSNL speedtest.

    Check this only 10 kbps
