Frequent freezing of internet Hello ppl ,
I hav already posted about this problem long back. But no one has responded a proper solution. My snr margin are around 30(down) and 19(up).
I get frequent freezing of internet often. I tried changin the line pair , etc. But still i face the problem!
By freezing u mean that only internet connection freeze or ur whole pc hangs or u r unable to open web pages by the term freezing what do u mean and also provide make and model ok
if ur pc hang then definately
Scan it using a anti virus,spyware scanner. Sometime, Trojan block access to internet

1.Please post the screen shot of the "ADSL" page.My snr margin are around 30(down) and 19(up).
The SNR is quite good. Attn and mod selected to be checked.
Change to GDMT for a stable connection.
2. Please always mention your modem make/model.
3. whether problem suddenly cropped up.
4. Please give previous thread link.

Like mentioned by essbebe please post the modem make/model. Some modems are known to get heated up quickly during its normal course of usage and get disconnected as a direct result of it.Originally Posted by genius_fool88

My modem router is UT300R2U . I formatted ma pc also many times. My system is clean. My pc does not get hangs up . By freezing i mean , there is no transfers of bytes or so at tat particular time.. say for 20 - 30 secs. For ex. Yahoo messenger while chatting , it gets disconnected and signed in back or sometime.. i dont recieve any messages.. suddenly i receive all in a bulk. While playing any games like condition zero(counter strike) it gets stuck and resumes , while downloadin torrents or any file.. download speed comes to 0 kbps and in another 30 secs its back to normal.. tis happens very often some times...

Hmm temporary outages like the one which u have mentioned are common with BSNL. Did u report this to the nearest internet exchange? Is some kind of work being carried out in the exchange?
Alternatively u can experiment with another test modem.
he is having problem only for some seconds may be spy ware/Trojan problem
when this problem occurs, please touch your router and see if its getting heated
it is only for 20-30 sec after that it works completely
what does it mean that after 20-sec it automatically cool ??????????
i mean after 20-30 secs it resumes to normal as it was. i want to know waht is g.lite , g.dmt , adsl+2 , etc.
These are the different ADSL signaling schemes being employed. BSNL uses G.DMT signaling.
even nowadays im facing a hell prob with this modem ut300r2u,, im using dell lappy, and many times it freezes first internet disconnects and then whole lappy freezes and only way is force shutdown the lappy, im so frustrated, yaar, dont know what to do, m connectiing thru USB,, at first it used to freeze rarely but nowadays even after using 20 mins it sometimes gets freezed dont know what to do someone pls suggest me frnds. ;-(
Please try ethernet lan card connection. ( usually built in module in the laptop )
START/All programs /Accessories/
Communications/ Network connection wizard.
Follow procedure.
Download Anvir Task Manager free or Pro,
http://www.anvir.com/
and keep resident programs to minimum.
Your Desktop also cluttered with short cuts/ rarely used applications/ pictures etc.
Most of them can be accessed from
START menu ( delete what you don't use often
only short cuts removed not the applications ))or Quick start.
I have seeen pro's use/keep only one icon "Recycle Bin" in Desktop.
Run Ccleaner ( update) and select System Restore.
delete as many check points keeping Restore points to minimum.
i had the same issues with USB, why dont you use LAN?
