PLAN CHANGE IN BROADBAND

Got this mail from BSNL Chennai telephones. Hope it will clear the doubts of the people who change their plan & wonder from when it will be effective.

Dear Customer,
The 'Plan Change Request' in Broadband connection will be effected from the 1st of the following month in which the application for change of plan is submitted. This procedure will be followed from the 1st of February 2009.For example, the application for the 'change of plan' in Broadband Connection submitted in the month of Febrauary 2009 will be made effect only from the 1 st of March, 2009.

This rule is being followed in Kerala circle since sometime. It was mainly implemented to avoid billing issues which many subscribers faced.

no from fab2009 in all circles all activities are carried out from 1st of every month like plan change and others

i recvd this email though i never applied for a change i dont know what the hell is wrong with these people

It must have been BSNL bulk emailing schemes. I have never ever received such emails from BSNL. Maybe because am an older subscriber with @dataone.in email id.

if u give application for plan change in jan than ur service will start on 10 th or 11 of next month but in their system i.e in dotsoft it was changed on 1 of next month but acctually it effects from 10 or 11 of coming month i.e feb that why some people said that they were getting 2mbps speed and their new plan is 700 UL and iold plan was 500 Ul and they give application in jan

Thats why they are giving mails to their subscriber

I have applied for plan change in Jan 09 and on 1st Feb 09 the portal showing the changed plan as provisioned. Still I have to wait for 10/10th of Feb 09 the new plan to be effective?

no from feb every activity of plan change will effective from 1st of every month.

and if it is showing provisioned then it is changed . and dont worry about plan change if u give application then it is exchange people resposibilty for plan change
u can avail services from next month bacause ur plan is changed in dotsoft and ur billing is done according to dotsoft if ur having latest plan in dotsoft then no point of worry.

Thanks for the reply, anyway I have checked my usage and found that the chargeable units b/w 2-8 am is zero.

welcome my friend and dont take any tension regarding plan change while giving application take one copy of application with signature as received from any officer of BSNL
so that u have proof u gave application and enjoy.

Of coure, I got a print out signed/sealed by BSNL stating the plan change from 1st Feb 09. Thanks
