Thread: reconnection of BSNL broadband

I am currently a BSNL user. I started broadband from january 2008 and closed it in november . Now the Order status is "closure -- Provisioned". I used to be the user of 512 kbps UL.

I am going to reconnect the BSNL broadband on 5th May,2009 onwards. What is the process to reconnect the broadband. Do I only have to apply for reconnection ? and when, so that it will take effect on 5th may.

Will it be active on 5th May or 2-3 days later if I apply on 4th May ?

Also, Suppose I am going to apply for Airtel instead of BSNL then Will my BSNL provided type-1 modem be a waste ?

Does Airtel provide only Broadband (I am not Airtel user) too ? Will i have to connect for airtel phone if i want broadband ?

What will I have to pay as starter in the first month for 1 mbps UL @ 2222 ?

Submit a Application for the same to BSNL customer care office

Will it be active on 5th May or 2-3 days later if I apply on 4th May ?

IT depends on BSNL.
Better ask the babu to whom you submit application

No, airtel also uses ADSL.
this same modem can be used with AIrtel as well

Broadband is provided via Phone line, so inorder for broadband to function you need airtel landline. try taking their Unlimited or Combo plans in which Landline rent is included in Broadband rent

Call Airtel Reps and confirm, usually come to your home/office can complete all formalities

No. it can be used for BSNL. Use vpi/vci 0 and 35.
rest as usual.

Yes usually..
May be not applicable for 2222 plan.

IT is unlikely you will get the old userID/PW again
in May 2009 for BSNL>.

Apply afresh, in advance for a new connection.
Enclose photocopy of Bill, in which you paid security deposit etc for initial connection.
( If already not credited in your bills in the meantime .

U will have to apply for reconnection. When u apply on 4th May, the account will be activated within the week. Usually it is done depending upon the availability of free ports in your exchange.

U can use your BSNL modem with Airtel too.

if u want to reconnection then give one application in exchange for RC otherwise give new application for new BB connection and select 1350 hOME ul PLAN SPEED 512KBPS-2MBPS and they will provide u connection because now every where new system are commissione so u easily get connection. WHIch is cheaper tahn airtel 2222/- pm

Home 1350UL has speed of 512kbps and not upto 2mbps
