Default New BB connection. Please help

I want to take a new bsnl broadband connection in bangalore. I dont have a landline yet. I have the following queries:
    1) What all documents should i surrender for a new landline connection (so as to get bb after that)
    2) what are one time and refundable charges applicable?
    3) What type of modem is used for bsnl broadband and can i procure the same from outside market (2nd had for a cheaper price) and use it? if so wat r the modem spec?
    4) for a new bb connection post getting the landline connection, are there any new one time and refundable charges applicable for bb?

deposit will be depend on your choice of plan(one month rental) now if you don't have the land line than you have to give extra deposit for charges for land line also.

I think in Bangalore Railwire will be a GOOD CHOICE.
and no need to apply for a telephone L/L connection.

    TO APPLY ONLINE :

    http://www.railwire.in/index.php?opt...id=1&Itemid=58

Railwire is not available throughout India.
Since it is started recently, it will rock now as
subscribers are few ( BSNL/Airtel in millions).
    Later as more and
more users switch over the contention ratio will increase.

    1) What all documents should i surrender for a new landline connection (so as to get bb after that)
    A- Residence Proof i.e. Cpoy of Voter Card/Ration Card/Electricity Bill/Bank Passbook
    B- ID Proof i.e. Voter Card/PAN Card/ID from Employer
C- If applying for Govt/PSU scheme - A certificate from the DDO of your office for your bonafides and Office ID Card
    D- I passport colour photograph

    2) what are one time and refundable charges applicable?
Depends on the circle. But normally,
Rs.100 at the time of application adjustable against deposit.
Rs.800 installation charges (in first bill - waived off in many circles)
Rs. 1000 refundable deposit for landline with STD (through bill)
Modem Charges - Purchase (Onr time charges)/ Rental (refundable deposit Rs.1000)
BB Deposit - 1 month BB rental

    3) What type of modem is used for bsnl broadband and can i procure the same from outside market (2nd had for a cheaper price) and use it? if so wat r the modem spec?
BSNL provides ADSL2+ modems, with RJ-45/USB ports (Type-I) and with Wifi (Type-II). U can also buy from the market, but it would not normally be cheaper.

    4) for a new bb connection post getting the landline connection, are there any new one time and refundable charges applicable for bb?
Normally one month BB rental is required as refundable deposit.
