Rep Power: 0 | I have a BSNL DSL connection and use a modem and LAN cable to connect to the Internet. I now want to connect my Beetel 450BX1 wireless router directly to the DSL line after the POTS splitter, and wirlessly browse the web. I configured my Beetel wireless router for PPPoE, LLC/SNAP Bridging, VPI/VCI 0/35, UBR without PCR, AUTO authentication, MTU 1492 and enabled NAT, PPP Debug and WAN. I set the default gateway as 192.168.1.1 (or should I change this to auto) I also typed in my BSNL userid and password but still cannot connect to the Internet. Here's what happens when I run diagnostics: Test the connection to your local network Test your ENET1 Connection: PASS Test your ENET2 Connection: FAIL Test your ENET3 Connection: FAIL Test your ENET4 Connection: FAIL Test your Wireless Connection: PASS Test the connection to your DSL service provider Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: PASS Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: PASS Test the connection to your Internet service provider Test PPP server connection: FAIL Test authentication with ISP: PASS Test the assigned IP address: PASS Ping default gateway: PASS Ping primary Domain Name Server: PASS Please help. Thanks! |

| Amor vincit omnia | The connection to the BSNL server is failing. Is broadband activated on your line? Are u sure that u are using the correct username/password combination? Is the link light lighting up? |

Rep Power: 12 | Seems you have selected "Dialer" "Bridged" mode. Option 1 : Check your dialer enter Userid without @ bsnl.in Option 2: See screenshot in NO 6 Second Link ( chennai) Go to WAN page. Edit Deselect "Bridged" Enable PPP/PPPoE Next enter your BSNL ID without @ bsnl.in Pw Enable PPPdebug... Enable bridge PPPoE frames between ...... etc enter your BSNL ID without @ bsnl.in Pw Save reboot. wait for two minutes. Check connection or Diagnostics page again. REFERENCE : this modem/ wifi router similar. Ignore the titles and open the links. Rep Power: 0 | Thanks for the input. What I am trying to do here is replace the two boxes (modem and router) with just one Beetel 450BX1 ADSL2+ router (this doubles as a modem too - correct??) I tried everything mentioned and finally end up with FAIL on Test PPP server connection and Test the assigned IP address. Man - am really stumped. I tried changing my wireless connection tcpip properties to give them the gateway and dns info but no luck. What I noticed was that my menu did not give me a choice to do: Bridge PPPoE Frames Between WAN and Local Ports (Default Enabled) but am guessing it's default enabled. I can connect using BSNL's DataOne modem + Dlink router so my Broadband connection username and password are okay. Any other ideas?? THANKS A TON, FOLKS! Test your ENET1 Connection: PASS Test your Wireless Connection: PASS Test the connection to your DSL service provider Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: PASS Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: PASS Test the connection to your Internet service provider Test PPP server connection: FAIL Test authentication with ISP: PASS Test the assigned IP address: FAIL Ping default gateway: PASS Ping primary Domain Name Server: PASS |

enter user name without @ bsnl.in and give Password. Save reboot. Wait for two minutes. Para two; Post your IPconfig/all data Confirm you get connected LAN/ethernet port. Start/Network/Status support See IP details. Try Repair option. What error message you get ? After confirming a wired connection go for WIFI. The screen shots given in the Chennai link should be helpful. Feedback. | |
