Which command you used to send message to them, as far as i know you cannot send any message to a computer which is not on your LAN.

Also there is nothing in Http Protocol by which you can determine an IP was fake or real.

that is why i always use mobile phone networks or proxy servers to do this kind of thing only for testing purpose of course!btw if i remember correctly many modems can log the ip's used to access their web/telnet interface.

if the other person has a properly configured firewall then he won't get the message sent in this manner from an outside network.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

OK.. a modem can record the IP's of login attempts, but is it possible for the modem to show/warn you the IP's in Real Time. If yes then through which interface.

Suppose i dont have any firewall.. also suppose i am using Win98/XP, then
    • On which port i recv that message.
    • Which process will show me that message.
    • Thru which command one can send me that message.

net send 192.168.1.1 "hello"' ( 192.168.1.1 is just an example type which ever ip you want)
to reply to your message they also should do the same procedure their will not be any option to reply

i told they didnt use the fake ip because the ip i got was of India itself and i didnt understand your comment fully though i am trying to answer it,
we can get a fake ip on the system that hides teh actual ip of your system...

    What additional functions? Eg.?

If you wish to connect multiple devices (Desktop, latop, Wi-Fi smartphone) to internet at the same time, then you do not have a choice. PPPoE is the only method.

The same is possible by internet connection sharing where one computer becomes the master connections and all other computers can connect thru this computer. But this has several disadvantages:

    - the master computer must always be on while others want to connect
    - the master computer and all child computers must be connected together
    - you will need a wireless dongle (or convert a USB pen drive to wireless dongle) so that other wireless devices can connect to it.

In Bridge mode, the best advantage is "connection on demand". This prevents the small data exchange between computer and ISP BRAS, that is required to keep the connection alive. Bridge mode is also easier to configure.

So if you have only one computer connecting to internet, you have an option - Bridge or PPPoE. For the rest, the debate is purely academic.

There is an option in Windows.

    1. Right click on the Wireless Networks icon in system tray.
    2. Select "View Available Networks"
    3. In the LHS top corner, there is a box that is titled "Network Task". The second option in this is "Setup a wireless network for a home or small office". Click this option.
    4. Just follow the wizard and use USB drive to create the network.
