| If you configure to PPPoE then you have to port forward to get the full speed. By portforwarding you will get back your speed which you used to get in Bridge. Please mention your router model and will guide you how to do it. |

| I just switched to Bridge from PPPoE. There is no considerable difference in speed. Yours might be a case of improper connection. Try port forwarding. Select your modem from PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall. They have the whole procedure explained with screen shots. |

Rep Power: 0 | My BSNL BroadBand connection was initially in PPPoE mode then I started having trouble connecting to the internet. Lot of delay in acquiring connect- tion. When I contacted the BSNL Customer Care (Eluru, West Godavari, AP) they guided me to change my connection to the Bridge Mode. This was about a year ago. No problem since then. |

| Junior Member | PPPoE mode is better than the bridge mode for Night downloads. If connection gets disconnected at night it will start again on its own.In bridge mode you have to set Redial options. |

| True. But it will redial automatically. We can set it in the properties. There are many diallers with reconnect facility. |

If you wish to connect multiple computers to the same router, then PPPoE is the only way. | |

Rep Power: 0 | I've been using PPPoE mode since two years and i have night unlimited Home 500C plan, as obvious we have limited data a month to be sent and recieved and in the pppoe mode, if we have to save from background downloading to save account, we need to turn on and off the LAN Hardware which is so irritating, On the other hand if i use a single pc or lap, using bridge connection offers easy connect and disconnect, preventing misuse of data, while the LAN and Modem could be always on and direct control through our bridge connection. |
