About a week back , there was a problem with my Telephne Line Am in Sanjaynagar bangalore......... then the phone was operational after 2 days but the link light for the modem wasnt coming on ... even after repeated complaints to Bsnl on 18004241600 & 1500 Still the link light isnt coming on........ Modem is UT300R2u ........... I have an Airtel Connection from past 1 yr becoz of no Faith in BSNL . But speed Of Airtel is the Problem >..............What Should I Do Now..........

Has broadband been activated in your telephone line? Have u tried changing the ADSL modulation to G.DMT?

Please try these.

What BSNL has to do with this problem ?
Contact Airtel CC.
If you have BB connection from both, matter different.
Are you using same modem for both ?

Your Broadband connection is from BSNL or Airtel ??
Which L/L telephone Airtel or BSNL is used for Broadband.??
BB service of one will not work on another's telephone number. .
Modem UT300R2U New or old version ?
Post Device Status WANPage/ details or screen shot.

I think the thread starter has two connections Airtel and BSNL. He is using Airtel because he thinks the reliability of BSNL cannot be judged. But the speed of Airtel is also a concern for him i think.

attach a telephone to the line which goes to your modem.. do you hear a dial tone?

If he has a BSNL BB, suggestion for Online complaint given.

If he is having Airtel BB connection, the modem he uses
is of interest.

If he is using a single modem UT300R2U for both BB, different option. ( I use single modem for two ISP's) )

All possibilities considered in framing a reply.
