Thread: Connectin Desktop to a wierless router [Urgent]

Well i have a wireless router and i need to get internet connection to my desktop without having to connect it to my Desktop ass i will need the desktop to be somewhere else so is it possible?

P.S i have huawei quidway WA1003A

P.S.S plz reply fast as i have to start off my projects and i cant do it in the room were its kept and the prob is if i take somewhere else i wont have a telephone line...

Yes you can use wireless conectivity to your desktop. But for that you have to purchage one wireless lan card.

wireless is possible but i will suggest you to to for a ethernet connection, you can extend ethernet cable upto 100 meters and its the most stable way to connect.

otherwise if you want then wireless option is available for which you may need to purchase a wireless adapter.

The router u use huawei quidway WA1003A...does it work with normal wireless NICs? I have seen BSNL supplying both router and NIC coupled. Because certain hauwei routers are compatible with huawei wireless NICs only. Please confirm that too..

U have a wireless modem. U can connect the modem to the pc wirelessly and browse the net. For that u need to invest on a wireless lan card. This wireless card will enable your pc to connect with the router.
