Thread: ut300r2u modem hangs after 45 mins continuos download

m using ut300r2u modem bsnl 500 plan n connected it thro usb on xp(sp2) machine but while downloading in night modem hangs after some 45 mins continuous download n i cant even browse after dis happens after i restart d modem it works fine for next 45 mins n after tat again same prob. some body please post a solution to dis

bring another modem for testing purpose and check it .
first check modem then adapter
then u fault is easily rectified

Verify whether the modem is getting heated up or not. BTW how do u connect? bridged or pppoe mode?

1.The reason could be you are using the USB port of the modem.
2. Try the Modem LAN port/Ethernet port of computer.
If you don't have a PCI ethernet card in your
Desktop computer
Check in WAN page the "Always On" and idle time entries.

3. You can also try opendns.
Start/Network/ LAN or USB link/properties/
TCP/IP properties
enter in DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
apply save.
