Default Net Disconects If Idle for long time

I am in in Home 500 plan. Issue is if the internet if left idle for say abt 20 mins(say i am off the computer or doing nothing) then the internet gets disconnected. This is very irritating as i cannot go to sleep without setting an alarm in my download manager.

The download would not start as by 2:00am the connection would have disconnected. Is there a setting in my modem that can be tweaked to fix this

In the device manager, kindly checkout the power management tab, which can be found under the lancard properties. Uncheck the first option (allow computer to...to save power). Please post whether this method is working or not.

alternatively he can set the "Idle time before hanging up" to Never in connection's properties.
