This problem is not related to your router or isp coz they dont block websites like this..the reason is that some websites block certain range of ips..i have faced the similar problem with a university website when i was using airtel broadband..i had to use proxy in order to open the site..the problem vanished when i switched to bsnl..you can't do anything in this case..all you can do is use proxy or change your isp.
alternatively you can send a message to filehippo regarding your problem..maybe they answer.

PROBLEMwats this !!!
WEBSITE filehippo.com not accessed by one member.
A thread to solve "unsolved unusual" problem/s !
which was already
discussed earlier and no solution could be found.
Hope users will give constructive ideas.
After reading all Previous posts in the old thread, and solutions suggested there, to avoid repetition here.
( and refrain from posting comments for increasing post count for the contest !)
I felt, the need for this thread,
because one member was not getting the
solution, after about 45 posts for his problem, and it was solved in an unusual manner by inputs from members.
After trying so many things, the member could not get the solution and left it as abandoned!
Also after Google search, i had seen so many threads, ending abruptly & unsolved both Indian and Foreign.
The problem is limited to a single website, so can it be possible that webmaster of site has banned the particular ip range.
Better use a Tunnel and escalate the issue if, more site are blocked
well you have a dynamic ip so its a range probably.. what error message do you get while accessing?? presuming you have tried changing dns and mtu..
able to ping?
wow.. that could mean blocking....strange though..
hi use TCP optimizer software and change ur MTU value to 1452.. it surely works
or use bridge mode

We are all assuming the OS is Windows Xp latest Sp3.
I think you use LINUX also. confirm, and if so, check filehippo.com there.
2. Details of your firewall/AV /Browsers used also needed.
3. Try this link for ping
http://www.machineip.com/ping/74.53.121.85
4. in cmd
if I type 74.53.121.85 changed to http://74.53.121.85 ( firefox 3.0.6)
OPENDNS gives report "Bad request Invalid Host" name.
and Tracert http://filehippo.com or http://www.filehippo.com also gets timed out.
5.Type http://i.filehippo.com
redirects to http://www.filehippo.com and page opens.
6. Can you Change the DNS ( use ISP's ) and try

Yes i am using Win XP SP3 with all the latest released patches + Ubuntu 8.10 which is also fulled updated.

Two firewalls may be the problem.
You can disable Windows temporarily and try.
If "NOGO" disabale avast.
Or add exception in Windows Firewall.
You could PING filehippo.com via
Ping 74.53.121.85: Check is 74.53.121.85 up or down? | Machine IP
The link mentioned Ping 74.53.121.85: Check is 74.53.121.85 up or down? | Machine IP will only check whether the ip 74.53.121.85 is accessible to the general public. Ping 74.53.121.85: Check is 74.53.121.85 up or down? is what is being stated in that portal.
Does Avast Pro have a firewall? I do not think so. I have now disabled windows firewall too, yet the website is inaccessible.
