    The reasons could be plenty. Are u able to access the modem interface by typing 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar? If so do it and try altering the ADSL Modulation to G.DMT.

    BTW which modem do u use? Also please post your line statistics as displayed in the modem.

    @arasan
    Since you are getting connected even for a short duration, re check modem settings. / setup.

    PHONEJN== ADSL splitterLINE===>>PHONE ALL phones MODEM Port Modem all rj11 cables (short
    length for modem recommended ).

    Mention your modem/ model make always.
    Select yours and follow procedure.
    BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
    OR
    http://210.212.160.18/broadband-conf/mainpg.htm
    With screen shots.

    Add both web site links to your book Marks.

    Ensure all phones connected AFTER ADSL splitter.

    Confirm : Using a dialer or Internet connected automatically.
