Red face Bsnl Port Block problem in PPPoE mode

hi Friends,

I am having a very strange kind of problem, I use Bit Comet to download P2P files. When i connect to net with pppoe mode in BC it shows my listen port is blocked, but when i change to Bridge mode it works fine.

Now for my luck i have another broadband ID of BSNL & my area itself which is not port binded and if i use that ID for connecting even in pppoe mode it BC works fine listen port is not blocked.

Now My actual ID is UL750+
The second ID is 250.

Anybody had such problem ? or any solution for it?

U need to forward the port in pppoe mode. Please mention the router model/make so that members can post the port forwarding technique.

In bridged mode, the ports are all automatically forwarded.

Usually the port being open is independent of the connection being used. It is only dependent upon the type of connection (pppoe or bridged). So i am unsure as to why the ports are being listed as open when u switch to H250.

Thanks ...! try to search the answer ill also keep looking

and anybody here knows the limits of bridge mode...
i have read in many posts they write as "use bridge mode if it is sufficient for you" so it means bridge mode has some limits.....

If possible post the comparison for both pppoe mode & bridge mode...
