    Default speed low upto 6.30am

is it just me or anyone else is having this problem.i am getting speeds of 70-80 on torrent ,20-50 on rapidshare etc upto 6.30.just after 6.30,the speed goes to 200+ in torrent and the very same rapidshare server now gives me about 220kbps.why is this happening? is bsnl doing something naughty?

is there a way to solve it?

This has been discussed in another thread too.

There is something termed access-concentrators in every state. BSNL switches all users to some common access-concentrators by 2am. It means whenever we establish a connection after 1am and before 8am, we will get connected to the common access-concentrator. Since it happens to everyone, congestion occurs as only some of the concentrators are online and no matter how many times, we try reconnecting, we will get connected to such congested concentrators only.

After 8am, the traffic is routed normally using the concentrators present in the specific state(s). Hence we experience better speeds after 8am.

No. We are helpless in such a situation. BSNL states this as a congestion control technique. Even if we connect before 2am, we will get connected to a congested AC only.

BSNL is implementing different upload speeds among its subscribers in the same plan. Some are getting speeds upto 256kbps and some are getting speeds upto 512kbps.

    cool techie tvm is correct

your r assigned to a single ip series 59.92.128.xx,which is been assigned to everyone during night unlimited

there are lot of night unlimited users like you and me,and hence u see the pathetic speeds ,you cant do anything but get adjust to it or move to ul plan

bsnl either shud stop issuing new connection or upgrade the network capacity.night unlimited is useless if they provide these speeds

Do not worry. As mentioned in some of my earlier threads BSNL is in the process of upgrading the existing bandwidth to accumulate more users and for enhancing the stability of the network. They are doing it part-by-part on different states. Within some months we should be expecting good speeds during the free time too

Write an email to CMD and cc the email to other address :

    Code:
CMD KULDEEP GOYAL cmdbsnl at bsnl.co.in

Public Grievance N.KUMAR ddgpg at bsnl.co.in

CGM Data Networks cgmdnw at sancharnet.in
You will definitely get a +ve response as I got similar problems resolved by reporting to the CMD and other address about night 2-8 bsnl broadband speed issues. Dont forget to mention your address and phone.

For starters you can read my letter to BSNL.

It was hard to recognize at first glance with all the @ replaced by 'at'

It is usually done so as to escape from spam email bots. So it is a safer practice to type email address using (at) (dot) !!

Sure but a SPACE separating the words and @ would be nice too.
