    Default how to check the snr value

    hi
    i have been experincing very very slow speeds ....i using a ul 750 plan ......one of my friends said that the speed depends on snr value......i have attached the screen shot ....can any one say the snr value

    It is not there in the image. Check for Upstream/downstream margin values. What is shown in the image is max possible upload/download limits.

    The image file posted by u contains only the upstream/downstream values which your modem is getting syned with the exchange. Please post the rest of the values (usually found beneath).

    Check under the System Information under basics..
    Which modem are you using?

    If you mention the model and brand of your modem then you'll get better reply. Plus search the forum for previous posts.

    what speeds are you getting?? what does Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test tell?

    The downstream and upstream values also suggest that u have set the ADSL Modulation to ADSL2+. Please change it to G.DMT for enhanced stability of the connection.

    hi
    thank u ....i have checked the snr value its 10.1 (upstream) and 19.1(downstream) are this values correct

    Please state the attenuation values too. A screen shot featuring the line statistics page would have sufficed. Attenuation is dependent upon the distance of the modem from the exchange and the amount of cabling + joints involved.

    i use a ITI dna-a211-1 modem given by the bsnl people

    Did u mind checking http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post116700 (how to check the snr value)

    Please do accordingly. U should see marked changes in your SNR values !

    Ahh

    Like mentioned in my previous posts have u tried changing the ADSL Modulation from ADSL2 to G.DMT? Or doesnt your modem feature that option in the ADSL Modulation modes?
