Exclamation How to forward a single port using bsnl ut300r2u router?

Hi, is it possible to forward a single port using the bsnl ut300r2u modem?
I know about enabling the dmz host but it seems too risky though i didnt have a problem so far...
If any of you have any idea about this, pls reply...
    Thanks in advance...

The newer modems supplied by BSNL do not have the virtual server option, which in other modems can be used to forward a single port, instead of DMZ. It is a firmware restriction as older modems of the same models featured Virtual Server option.

In bridged mode, it wise to invest on a dedicated software firewall solution to protect your PC from the intruders/spywares/worms.

If possible try to procure the older firmware being employed in older generations of UTStar 300R2U. Then u can flash the modem with that firmware and use the Virtual Server option.

when using NAT-DMZ always use 3rd party firewal..windows firewall is not good enough.. certain ports are open by default.. which is risky..
