Default BSNL Billing System for Limited User Can Be Justified ?

This question is always present in my mind i feel since BSNL broadband started BSNL billing procedure not so logical.specially for limited user this system is totally ridiculous.
    point
    • 1st BSNL usage charge is so high 1 MB 80 paise or 90 paise that mean for extra 100 mb user have to pay 80 or 90 Rs this charge is similar to a penalty or fine not proper usage charge.Suppose if we consider this usage rate is proper then that mean BSNL provide for Home 250 Rs plan (1024 *0.90) 921.6 Rs or for Home 500 Rs plan (2560* 0.80) 2048 Rs(only in day time) free usage. is it possible for BSNL if usage rates really so high ?
    • Now in any 2 mbps limited user connection according to BSNL billing system one user can make billed almost 3 lakhs 90 Rs(in ideal case for H500 user) i think this is also the strange mathematical calculating system. Now my major point is some H250,H500 users are getting 40000 Rs bill some one is getting 50000 Rs bill in broadband is it also justified ? Is it fine or usage charge ? suppose if ever BSNL announce 2 mbps UL plan how much they can charge not more than 8000-10000 Rs in month maximum (because BSNL 512 kbps UL is 1350 Rs) then how can any single user of 2 mbps plan charge 50000 Rs or even 60000 Rs ?.Either they should block the user access after certain amount of usage like 5000 Rs or 10000 Rs usage charge (not more than that because they all know very rare 500 Rs rent user can able to give 40000 Rs or 50000 Rs) or they set maximum ultimate money like 12000 or 15000 Rs if any user cross all limit then also his/her bill will not exceed that value because BSNL should not charge such huge money like 50000 Rs in 2 mbps connection how much any one download that does not matter.

One simple opinion. Profit. More money = more profit = officials happy = promotions.

I read somewhere that BSNL is raking up good fortunes by providing Broadband service and this has especially come to light because many are disconnecting their landline and opting just for the broadband service only.

    Hi rupu1983

Just read the story of amitkool21 about little johnny,

Yes, the billing system is not correct for limited users, they provide so much of a bandwidth & the pppoe mode connection(recommended by bsnl) which will always keep the connection active even if his/her pc is off.... The bsnl server pings the line every 900 sec once it will take approximately 10kb which is also counted as data transfer which the user has not used.... check the usage and it will not show any 10 kb transfer, you browse normally next time & the 10 kb will be added to it, if you want have a personal data counter then check in bsnl site....

They give a high bandwidth to limited account users because they cant charge the UL people apart from the rental there is nothing they can charge for the BB. As they can charge for the limited users they pile up huge bill to earn money, even they know its not correct. I think nobody who has a limited account will use their account more then 10 mb of there limit., In most of te cases of huge bill its done by hacking the account.... thats why when you give a complaint about bill stuff they just wave off the huge bill.... tell me which company will leave the bill for 50,000 for free....?

BSNL billing system & security is the worst of its kind.... thats all i can say.

Exactly that's another good point also that BSNL provide to limited user extra usage beyond the free limit by the post paid billing system. But now practically this system is facility or trap ? because those who understand the billing system they will never want to give such usage charge and may be most of BSNL user try to maintain usage within their limit but still those who little unaware about entire system some times they got huge bill in such system and this is the BSNL marketing strategy.Although BSNL provide BB limited plan in cheap rent compare to other ISP but still for me this the "usage trap" of BSNL broadband for limited user.

Is the exact amount of any relevance? Just the extra billed amount will suffice, right?

Really in this month lots or wrong billing has started by the BSNL calcutta telephone customers are not safe at all in limited plan just think one postpaid moblie connection has credit limit 2000 Rs or 3000 Rs in BSNL but what we can see in case of BB some one charge 91000 Rs some one may be 100000 Rs is it joke where is the credit limit (obviously it should be within 5000-6000 Rs) think once even a single user 2 mbps connection if he download 24 * 30 hour how much they can bill is it justified that 2 mbps speed single user can be bill 100000 Rs don't matter what ever his usage is. :31:
