Cool how is bsnl 1350UL plan?

i just took a 750Ul home plan, and the download speed is simply frustrating with a maximum of 30KBPS.

i would like to know which is the best plan in terms of unlimited download. i am in a dilemma as to go for the 500 limited plan which used to give me a decent 200kbps or the 1350UL.

does anybody use the 1350 UL plan, and how is the download speed in that..

1st answer is BSNL does not have any 1 mbps or 2 mbps UL plan.
2nd 512 kbps bandwidth in plan UL 1350 is the maximum UL plan which provide you 60-65 KB/s download speed. Now from BSNL this is the only high speed UL plan available.

Are u sure your friend is using BSNL as ISP or Asianet? Because BSNL does not provide an UL plans for 300/-.

i am a user of 1350ul+ plan and i must say i am quiet satisfied with it...torrents swing between 55-60kBps... A 700mb movies takes around 3 & half hours to download, youtube videos plays without interruption downloading through firefox(a lil tweaked) you get a transfer rate of around 70-75kBps.assuming u download whole day through torrents with an average speed.. u may be able to download around 4.5gb to 5g.b per day.

65-70 kbps is too low for that 512kbps UL connection.

    It mounts to 8~8.75 kBps!!

Still 65 kBps mounts to 520kbps which is even more than the download speed of UL1350 plan !!

earlier when i had 750ul plan both download and upload speed where the same 1:1...but since i have upgraded t 1350ul plan the upload speed has been reduced to 25-26kBps and downloads speed is around 55-60kBps....because of this unequal ratio i unable to maintain a good ratio in private trackers which might result in ban:bored:

I have come across some connections of BSNL which fall in the UL category for which the upload speeds and download speeds are equal. Hence i asked so. Thanks for the info. BSNL itself is confused with regards to the upload speed, for some H500 subscribers it is capped at 512 kbps and for some it is capped at 256 kbps.

    5 GB per day...thats 150 GB per month....thats around 1TB in 6 months...
where do you save those download...do you buy a external hard disk every six months...

I really don't understand what people download so much & where they save it..

This is going to be offtopic still i am stating.

After the initial excitement of procuring the connection, people will download every night/day till their max bandwidth permits. But this excitement gradually fades away within a couples of months/years. That is basic human psychology. Once this state is attained downloading will gradually cease and will be done only for the most desired needs.

There are always certain exceptions who are in the mission of downloading the whole of internet to their HDDs, and never get tired with downloading..

It depends upon the encoding being employed for the feed. Mostly flv feeds will work without any problems with a 512kbps connection.

Yes. Since the maximum bandwidth provided by UL750 is 256kbps. That is too low for online video viewing. It takes a longer time to buffer the video.

Airtel has recently implemented Fair Usage Policy. In this policy once u download after a specified limit set by Airtel, your speed will be halved. Also they have stopped issuing new 512kbps and more UL connections. I would think twice before investing on Airtel now.
