    So u are from Tirunelveli district?

    presume you mean
    either Sancharnet or Netone service
    confirm.

    2,Broadband connection ;
    im strugling for the past 6 months...
    You have not given details of the Linksy's modem/router you use.

    It can be one of about 100 models or so of Linksys and can be either 3 in one or wifi router or a plain adsl modem..
    Also you have not mentioned
    any modem you use from BSNL.

    Just for reference one model I have given:

    He has posted the modem configuration details. Hence it can be assumed that he is on Dataone, not Netone or Sancharnet.

    @cool_techie_tvm
    Sorry. My knowledge of English Language is poor.
    My apologies.

    So, far past SIX months he is using a
    "dialup modem'= "adsl modem" in
    Dialup mode and cannot surf websites.

    Its ok.

    when i use dialup modem .. my internet connection is stable
    <-- suggests that he is able to use the connection properly in bridged mode.

    but when i use my linksys modem, its connecting and disconnecting..
    <-- suggests he is not able to connect and use the connection properly in router mode.

    when your router is disconnecting , see if the power LED also blinks.. i.e. router is rebooting.. i;ve faced a similar problem.. had to upgrade firmware for that.. this is only if your router is rebooting!!do post your SNR values

    yes i am entering only username.

    Actually i do stay in dubai.

    I took broadband 2 yrs before.

    Before 6 month i have taken the linksys wireless broadband router to india

    and i configured it and connected directly. ( tele. cable is directly connected to the linsys router and router is connected to pc)

    But it was connecting and disconnecting and connecting.....

    so i told the tele. dept to change the cable and they did.

    Still the problem is there.

    If i keep the router on for long.. sometimes its getting stable.

    If i use adsl modem in dialup mode , its working perfectly and stable.

    If possible can u post the SNR and other line statistics details as being listed in the modem? A screen shot would even suffice..
