Thread: Bridge to PPPOE mode

@cool_techie_tvm: Sorry if I have been rude, thanks a ton for all the help. First entry in th BSNL portal is of the date 16th Feb. So 13 days is all I get. Also will I get to use full 2.5GB in these days or (2560/28)*13 = 1188 Mb is all what I get. In the month of feb the per day usage turns out to be approx 91MB. If for a particular day I use only 50MB, then do I lose out on 41MB or I can use it the next day. I hope the question is clear this time.
@Mr.Tooth Fairy : The script is not wrong and "wait" command does no harm. All problem is with inputting user/pass in the telnet client.

U will be able to use 1188MB for the month of feb. It is not mandatory that u should use the entire 91MB on a single day. The rest of the usage is carried forward to the succeeding day. Remember u are getting 1188MB for the entire month. So u have to equally distribute it among the days. U can even use up all the 1188MB in a single day and exceed your limit (but u will have to pay extra @ 80p per MB).

@cool_techie_tvm: Thanks for the info friend. It was sad to know that I will be getting only 13 days of the month to use. had i known earlier I would have got the connection on the 1st of march.
@Mr.Tooth Fairy: Well I am not able to get the MACRO recorder to work on my side. when I start recording the screen just halts and I am able to open anything, only when I press the command to stop the recording the PC can be used. Kind of weird but now I am stuck on the 1st step,i.e record a MACRO. Will keep U updated in this thread

I think in trial ver it happens.. or may be incompatibility issue.... not sure.. but for me macro was working ok ok.. but I dint find it much reliable.. working perfectly.. let me know abt u...

Incompatible softwares can be made compatible by using the Compatibility wizard in Vista. Make sure to select Windows XP for the compatibility mode..

@cool thecie.. r u sure? how to do tht? u mean to say any thing thts not compatible with vista n compatible with xp we can make it work for vista too? pl tell me in detail.. as per same for game? n other programs like oracle n java n c++ turbo.. as my sis changed vista to sp due to all these incompatibility.

@ maddy.. well I used MACRO software which version I don't know.. n ofcourse..from torrent I downloaded.. **** version..

Where I had received some repos.

So Mr.toothFairy, macro's certainly don't work. I get the macro to execute the command"0 192.168.1.1" but the macro is unable to perform the login. It only identifies the "Enter" key in the login prompt and enter's without writing the login.

exactly.. maddy.. correct.. some glitch with login.. n btw.. u using bridge mode or poppe mode man.. lol.. so much research u did for poppe mode n now asking dm11pusp for bridge mode ?

You can search for Shajul's S/W for Bridge Mode, it is available somewhere in this forum.
In addition with "Shajuls S/W", if you also want to reboot your modem at specific times then you can use "Imran's Broadband Helper Utility" with it.

well frankly speaking.. i wanna know perfectly working procedure... for poppe mode.. vista os, modem zxdsl 531b. and " wifi " enabled.either some or the other problem i am facing.. may be for os issues, or mainly poppe mode.. or my modem model.. moreover.. i am ready to convert my poppe mode to bridge mode..but i dont know how to convert tht lol.. n also on bridge mode i dont know later i will be able to use wifi or not.. so u see there is lot of confusion..

I dont have access to a wifi modem so cant help.

well thts the problem.. if its like suppose bridge modem n without wifi.. than u need to just keep pc on hibernate n shcedule it wake up.. n torrents or anything wil be scheduled accodringly... this things will be damm simple.. but not in my case..

You can try too. Just post ur reboot.txt contents after running Mytelnet.exe, as an attatchment and ask here to rectify it. I am sure you will be able to reboot the modem. Still R & D on to dial the connection.
