BSNL has not asked its customers to send their mail userid, password and Date of Birth for issue of new email password.
All the customers are requested to ensure that they do not share any such information with anobody either physically or
through email to avoid any misuse of their email.

And I myself see in their system that every information is available to them, I think they have a master password. But yes you are right, they may want to see the recorded usage in portal site. and For that you can attach a printout of the record
What you said I also think that before last week but DE internal call me (19/02/09) and he asked the Portal ID & password (which i have not written in application) and this Monday i asked him he said "we are not able to check portal site record" that's why he asked me portal id & password.
Please check my problem also then you can understand BSNL internal record & portal site record both showing different usage detail

you don't worrry about the bill because you have the prove. so take the print out of usage details with a application and give it to your local exchange JTO or your Account officer(TR), if they realize that your bill is wrong then they will change it in 5 minutes.
The case is solved...........
I got em to reduce my bill of ~1lakh to the correct 562/- today. At first the idiots at accounts dept were sayin that i have to pay the full amount. then i went to see the SDE/BB and told him everythig. he checked the server portal (where everything including our session mac ids are shown ). I knew the man because i once had a long chat with him about broadband technology in his office while i went there to change my modem. This time he was so very helpful, he himself gave me the printouts of my january bb usage where it was clearly shown that my daytime usage was only 1530mb. i took those docs to the accounts dept again, this time that fool gave me a revised bill of amount 562/-.

congats and thank u, this is the way out in case of billing problem. Though we r happy that instead of around One lac the actual amount is just below 1K paid by leo, see how much trouble we have to take even there is no mistake in our part? the minimum aa day or two to be spend unnecessarily!!! How to teach these people to solve such billing errors online so that a lot of timme/effort will be saved from both side.
