Thread: BSNL keeps getting disconnected at night!!!

hi all,

i'm frm Kalyan, near Mumbai...

i've been facing this problem since past 4 - 5 days with BSNL Connection.

it keeps getting disconnected during the night time. i am a home 500 plan user, night unlimited.....

it starts acting up after 12 at night, but works somewhat fine during day-time...

is some1 else facing the same problem too???

are you connecting in ppp dial up mode ? if not then try to connect on it.
check your SNR value in night (check when line get disconnected link light is stable or blinking )

Could u post a screenshot of your line statistics as listed in the modem?

i have been using D-Link modem, connecting using PPPoE mode.....


last night worked fine for about 70 - 80 mins, was getting around 250kBps speed in torrents private server...

but again the modem ADSL light started blinking and got disconnected.
the light kept blinking for next 15 - 20 mins and wasn't able to connect again...

am pretty sure something is really fishy frm BSNL side, as this has started happeneing since few days back and BSNL has started giving out new connections since then...

the same happened last month but tht happened only for 2 nights, so i guessed some maintainance work might have been carried out.....

but this time have been almost a week now...:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

ensure that all your telephones are connected after the splitter..when you face disconnections.. login to http://192.168.1.1 and under STATUS post your SNR values
