Thread: how to setup wifi using dna a211-i

i use a dell studio 15 with vista premium and would like 2 know how to configure everythin so as to access wifi net ..thru my bsnl modem ..the model is DNA A211-I...

i enabled wireless thru the 192.168.1.1 and then my laptop did get connected to the wireless connection....but i cudnt access the net as the connection was only local....

i would be grateful...if someone wud explaint 2 me like 2 a four year old....how to go abt accessing the net thru this modem.

In both desktop and laptop computers

Start/ Network / LAN or wireless LAN
Properties
Select TCP/IP
Properties
Select
Obtain Ip address automatically
Apply Save.
Feedback.

go to the command prompt and type ipconfig and post a screenshot of the output here.. does internet work as soon as you switch on your modem or do you use a dialer to connect?
