how much we have to seed ? anyone banned here because of this. please let me know. i just wanna make sure before i get banned

    Thanks,

The policy varies with different trackers...
But the actual thing is that if you are downloading from torrents, you should seed atleast 1:1 ratio if not more. Think of it like this, if everyone of us would download only(leech) and not give anything in lieu, who would we be downloading from anyway?

That message is intended for static ip users. That does not mean that u are spared. If u are on dynamic ip, then they will ban your account.

This may happen with private trackers. I do not think such things happen with public trackers but I don't have much experience in this.

yes that is correct....! if you are downloading 1 mb then have to seed 1 mb then your ration will be 1:1.
This happens in many of the private torrent sites where you have to create your account before you can download but in public trackers there is no need, how much you download or upload no body cares....!

The ratio various from tracher to tracker...some have 1:1 ratio & others have something between 0.6 to 1.0..

some basic doubt needs to be clarified..suppose when i download a file from torrent say Utorrent i see something is uploading from my side. Does the torrent takes any file from our sytem automatically? what exactly is being uploaded ? and why its happening? Does this add up in our usages of monthly bandwidth? Please clarify all of my questions.. many thanks

    1) The file you are downloading, some part of it is already downloaded so it is being uploaded, or if you have already downloaded ie completed something previously that also might be uploading.

    2) No it takes only files you have permitted to upload

    3) Check 1 answer, it happens because its a P2P client system this is what it is made for .... you can surely control the speed of it being uploaded

    4) YES it will be added up in the monthly usage

Nothing. You will be starting with 0.00 as the ratio.

you are not banned from any of the sites except from the private trackers such as Demonoid. if you have stopped seeding and you are only downloading then i think after certain amount say 3GB out of 5GB and you have seeded it very less say in mb's then your download will automatically stop i.e. you will not get any download speed
