Default Is ther need to restart?

I have configured my D-link 802-c modem to Bridge mode. Now is there a need for me to reboot the router to get in the NU range or since I have to dial the connection there is no need to reboot the modem.
    Please help

Since u are in bridged mode, it is suggested that u must reconnect the connection. No need to reboot the router.

    Default Another Problem

    Thanks for the reply.
Now here is some problem that is getting me to scream. trying to get my NU to use has been a real problem for me. First it was the trick itself and now it is the connection.
Have a look at the following detail:

You see the frequent connect/disconnections are not made by me. My ADSL line blinks after every 5 minutes. i changed my mode from ADSl+2 to G.Dmt.
I was getting my connection to stay longer, for say 10 minutes. But the details that my DSL parameters were showing were pathetic. The Local SNR MARGIn never crossed 10 and sometimes it went to negative.
While downloading quicktime player from apple's website the MAX speed I can get was 150KB/s(Using IDM), which was not the case in ADSL2+ where I used to cross 200KB/s.But then the frequent disconnections too.
I never these problems in the daytime. It is a real problem for me now. Still managed to download only 700MB from NU.
Now another thing. In G.Dmt mode I get a Local SNR Margin of about 37.5 in the daytime,i.e, now. Please any help or help in any thread will be helpful.

    Hi

if you are facing frequent disconnections and ADSL/ link light is flashing then i suggest you to first check the physical setup of your broadband, i mean check the splitter and cables if they are connected properly or not and if possible then please try to change splitter and if there is any extension cable then remove it too.

If all looks fine on your property then please contact BSNL for a line test and ask then to check it as it is not stable connection.

I simply have the Line connected to splitter and output of splitter to modem and the phone. No disturbances whatsoever. Where do I register a complaint, on their tollfree number or my local Customer relation Center. Will they charge for a line check

But for now the internet is working good and disconnection is rare. Is the night time culprit?
If it is then, the line is not the problem. Anyways I will call the BSNL people to check line.

alright if you are facing this problem during night hours only then it can be a network issue, it is known as time limited disconnection issue.

please check this with your exchange.

There is too much "Dal me Kaala" in BSNL, so if you did not restart your modem at 02:00 AM you will get a huge bill some day..
like this http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...nl-urgent.html (Idiotic Rs.91,052 Bill from BSNL, Urgent !!!)

DalmeKaala : I read that thread already. Nowhere in the thread there was a mention that the complainant was using bridged mode and he was charged. But still experts, shall I restart my modem to be on the safer side?
