Rep Power: 2   |  What is security Deposit? When ever we ask for change of plan (like from home plan 500 to home plan 1000) the BSNL employees ask for 1000rs as security deposit. For what are we depositing? How are they given back to us? |

| For Home 500 or lower rent plan no security deposit needed(if you already have landline connection with initial deposit value) but for Home 1000 or upper plan 1 month rental deposit is needed like in your case 1000 Rs.Normally the give refund the security deposit after the surrender of BB connection (need to make an application) otherwise they adjust it with last month bill also(this chance is very rare) |

Rep Power: 2 | now for last 5 months i was using home plan 1000 and still the security deposit has not been refunded.. Now i want to shift to home plan 1350. Will i get both deposits refunded or that 1000 Rs will be cancelled? |

| When you surrender your BB connection only that time deposit will be refunded by BSNL. Now you are trying to change Home 1000 to Home UL 1350 plan that mean they will charge you another 350 Rs as deposit for new BB plan. (If they charge 1350 Rs to you by mistake as deposit then obviously then you can complain it) Last edited by rupu1983; 02-24-09 at 04:05 PM. |
