Since you have posted, I assume that you are having access from some other place such as office.

Are you able to login to the portal? If yes, you can login to the portal and change it back to default or something else.

For BSNL to do this, you must talk to the NIB center. Talk to Bangalore NOC: 080 - 25808899.

Change to old password again in the portal site. and try.

How do you connect "Dialer mode" or "Always On"
Since you say you changed the Password in the router
You are on "Always On " mode. enter old password and try.

If everything stated above fails then you should go to your exchange and tell them that you have lost your password or you have forgotten your BB password, they will reset your password to the default so then you will be able to connect i think!

according to the BSNL technicans that came to my place and checked for the fault, it seems that there is no response from the remote server.
In dialer mode it says Error 678: the remote computer is not responding
and In the Routers Always on mode, the router trys to connect but it cant, the DSL light flickers twice but it dosent connect.....

so i guess it the port problem in the exchange, what can i do? the technicans are taking their own time to rectify the fault
wats the Kalyan Dist. tel no? will calling them solve the problem???

    Thumbs up

Did you check if the new password is cached/saved there when you open your portal page.

Here is the solution for such similar problem where, the new password is not cached/Saved with the router configuration....

    Copy paste this link
    Code:
    blog.albinjey.com/2009/04/bsnl-dna-a211-modem-problem
This solution is for A211-I modem, try the same solution for your modem type but change the Firmware accordingly.

Default update your password to your Modem

    Hi

After changing the password in your portal id. You got to update the password in LAN IP Address 192.168.1.1

    For that

    1. Enter the site and log in with your id and password.
    2. Go to Setup, pvc0 and change your old password.
    3. Go to tools option, system commands, save all and restart the system.

    Hope this might help you

    Regards

    Senthil Kumar
