Did they replace the modem for free or under payment?
Easiest method to avoid frequent complaints ! ( Airtel policy)
Also even .1% replacement of modems will not make a dent (in profit?)
in the BSNL 's BB connections running to millions ( 3 million?)
Rental modems are exchanged without any question/payment. ( starts earning money every month!)
Purchased modems, seems there is one year
limit for , replacement allowed.
Depends on CC.
as it was under warranty! I just had to make a complain and take the modem to my tel ex. for inspection.
There they said that one person will come to my house and change the modem...
nice.. a friend of mine had to purchase another one..
I think BSNL do not provide any warranty document with the modem. I was facing such type of Modem problem and it was also replaced by BSNL but on sympathy ground as it was only 15 days from the date of purchage.
That is why i didnt purchase the modem i took it on rent...
once you purchase cant change it ... and warranty also expires in 12 months where as now it has got 24 months warranty.... & can change to any type at any time.....!
Unfortunately i cant rely on BSNL products and services. I dont think their hardware are good enough to use. I had used their modem whcih was just a joke and now i am using D-Link.
