Did they replace the modem for free or under payment?

Easiest method to avoid frequent complaints ! ( Airtel policy)
Also even .1% replacement of modems will not make a dent (in profit?)
in the BSNL 's BB connections running to millions ( 3 million?)
Rental modems are exchanged without any question/payment. ( starts earning money every month!)

Purchased modems, seems there is one year
    limit for , replacement allowed.
    Depends on CC.

as it was under warranty! I just had to make a complain and take the modem to my tel ex. for inspection.
There they said that one person will come to my house and change the modem...

I think BSNL do not provide any warranty document with the modem. I was facing such type of Modem problem and it was also replaced by BSNL but on sympathy ground as it was only 15 days from the date of purchage.

Unfortunately i cant rely on BSNL products and services. I dont think their hardware are good enough to use. I had used their modem whcih was just a joke and now i am using D-Link.
